International Women's Month Presents : How Women lead in a Male Dominated Industry!


In line with the international women's month we have brought in 6 incredible speakers who rose the ranks and led the way despite being in a male dominated industry.

Alenna Dawn


a redeveloping and revolutionizing the idea and prospect of women in technology in Asia as Coding Girls' Ambassador, pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (with specializing in entrepreneurship), working with Runbnb and Bay Area Blockchain Experts, along with the production and managing of “BlockLab”, a campus roadshow on blockchain technology expanding to the body of curious, eager, and aspiring students from all across Asia. She has seen it to the interest and benefit of the students and these startups by means of engaging the youth of today with information and education so that all may have access to the possibilities that emerging technologies hold.


Yang Yang


As Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of the Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX), Yang Yang lends a lifelong passion for disruptive technology and social impact to shaping the product roadmap. After teaching herself to code at the age of 5, she continued her interest in computer science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to founding PDAX, Yang Yang was the CMO of a global environmental tech company, at which she led strategy for its NASDAQ IPO; in 2015, she also co-founded a mobile app startup in Silicon Valley. Today, it is the potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize financial inclusion in emerging markets that has brought her to the Philippines.


Niña Terol


a "communicator, connector, and changemaker" whose 20-year career spans leadership roles in the corporate, non-profit, government, media, creative enterprise, and startup sectors. She heads marketing and product innovation for Talino Labs, a venture lab for transformative technologies, while also being co-founder and Chief Fireball of Kick Fire Kitchen, a team of idea catalysts and culture builders who ignite innovation and engagement in organizations. She is also a co-founder of DEVCON Kids, a program that teaches computational thinking and human-centered design among middle-schoolers and a Founding Trustee of Business & Professional Women (BPW) Makati. She is also a prolific public speaker, author, educator, and startup mentor.


Bonnie Factor


Our workshop facilitator for this morning is Bonnie Factor. She’s the Ambassador for Asia Pacific MSME Trade Coalition. She’s also the co-founder & Chief Strategist of eCFulfill, a 2018 IdeaSpace startup winner.She’s able to digitally transformed her previous company’s HR processes from manual paper to a full-suite end-to-end Enterprise Resource Planning functionalities from an employee’s process of HR’s recruitment to exit.


Neva Kares


Founder and CEO of Swoop PH, and co-founder of coworking space, XState Makati, Neva is passionate about making a positive impact in the Philippines through technology and entrepreneurship. Formerly a journalist and senior copywriter, she started her own social enterprise in 2007, which she ran for seven years. She discovered the startup world as a pioneer Operations Manager of TaskUs, which is now a $125 million global company. In 2016, she founded Swoop PH, and has grown it to be the first full-circle real estate platform in the Philippines with 296 licensed local broker partners, international broker partners in China, over 40 developer partners, and 100% verified listings.


Minrie Macapugay


Minrie Macapugay is a javascript developer, start up co founder, Chief Product Tech Officer at StyleGeniePH and QratedCrates SG. She is an ambassador for coding girls manila and a co-lead community representative for Facebook Developer Circle Manila. She fell in love with technology and software development because she loves the process of turning ideas into digital products and helping entreprenuers turn their online dreams into a reality
